To open an account on Tara, you'll need an active Bangladeshi mobile number, a valid email address, and your National ID (NID). You must be at least 18 years old. Registration is completely free and takes just 2–3 minutes.

  • Strong password (letters + numbers + symbols)
  • Aged 18 or above

No. Under Tara's policy, each person may only hold one account. If multiple accounts are found belonging to the same individual, all accounts may be suspended and balances forfeited. If you're having trouble with an existing account, please contact support.

Click the "Forgot Password?" link on the login page. Enter your registered mobile number or email — you'll receive an OTP code. Enter the code and set a new password. The whole process takes under 2 minutes.
Never share your OTP with anyone. The Tara support team will never ask for your OTP.

KYC (Know Your Customer) verification secures your account and helps prevent fraud. It must be completed before you can make a withdrawal. Simply submit photos of the front and back of your NID along with a selfie — verification is typically done within 24 hours.

  • You can turn off Unknown Sources again after installation
